According to the news received, the aircraft is owned by Afghan Ariana Airlines. However, Mirwais Mirzakwal, the CEO of the airlines, denied that he had been the victim of a plane crash.

Arif Noori, a spokesperson for the provincial governor, said that the plane crashed in Deh Yak district at 1:10 pm local time. Meanwhile, Ariana Airlines said that it has not been the victim of a plane crash. This information was given by the working director of the company, Mirwais Mirzakwal, he said, "There has been no crash of our airlines because both Ariana's aircraft - from Herat to Kabul and from Herat to Delhi are completely safe."
