After Marvel Studios have unveiled the release dates and official logos of all the films arriving between now and 2023, including the long-awaited The Eternals by Chloe Zhao, here is an interesting rumor on the net about future of the franchise beyond Phase 4.
In a recent video posted on YouTube, the usually reliable John Campea revealed that, according to a contact, the studio led by Kevin Feige has already put a sequel to The Eternals and a fifth Avengers film are in the works.
Commenting on the absence of projects such as Blade, Deadpool 3, Captain America 4 and the X-Men movie from the video posted on the official channels of the House of Ideas, a source informed about the plans of Marvel Studios would have stated: "It's basically the same reason that Avengers 5 and The Eternals 2 haven't been announced. They've only announced movies coming through 2023 with verified release dates. There are over 20 projects in the works."
Obviously this is information to be taken with due caution waiting for any confirmations or denials, especially with regard to The Eternals 2, given that we do not yet know how their debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe will be received.
