Bordertown Season 4 Review:
Bordertown’s third season was quite intriguing, and it’s the final season of Bordertown that’s the most suspenseful. The actors of Bordertown’s last season did an outstanding job, and several of the sequences are mind-blowing.
One of Finland’s top detectives, Kari Sorjonen, has been employed by Helsinki but is now relocating to Lappeenranta, a town near the Russian border.
He lives with his wife, who is recuperating from cancer, and their teenage daughter. He works with a specialized section to look into serious crimes. Naturally, most of them include murder.
The series also has recurrent plotlines, the most of which run a single episode and a couple of which endure three. Concerns about Kari’s family are also a part of this continuing plot, as is the possibility of corruption in the town’s government.
Given that Kari’s method of investigating murders is similar of Sherlock Holmes’, it is not surprising that there is is also a “Moriarty,” a serial murderer who appears in several novels.
This Finnish television show was pretty good. Each story has a captivating mystery, and the primary characters are entertaining to watch. Ville Virtanen did a great job playing Sorjonen, and I like how he kept moving his hands as he thought about problems.
Anu Sinisalo does a great job of contrasting his character by portraying his former FSB coworker Lena as a fiercely independent woman. The rest of the cast is likewise top-notch.
Although it may be suggested that the two protagonists’ relatives commit crimes a little too regularly, this did not diminish my enjoyment of the series.
The show has fantastic visuals, particularly in the episodes when snow covers the already stunning scenery. In conclusion, I would suggest this to fans of the genre whom are looking for a fresh setting and interesting people.
