The American criminal procedural television series Criminal Minds was conceived and executive produced by Jeff Davis. The program debuted on CBS on September 22, 2005, and it ran until February 19, 2020, before being renewed in 2022.

As the title suggests, the program revolves on the Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) of the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), a team of profilers whose job it is to investigate crimes and find the “unsubs” (unknown subjects) behind them.

The program chronicles the crew’s journey through problem-solving and emotional struggles. With 15 seasons under its belt, Criminal Minds was a ratings smash for CBS, often placing among the network’s top shows.

Criminal Minds: Evolution has returned to Paramount Plus following a 15-season run on CBS, and the second season of the popular procedural seems set to continue for at least another year.

Criminal Minds: Evolution follows the investigations of the FBI’s elite Behavioral Analysis Division and delves into the psychology of crime prevention via criminal profiling.

Criminal Minds stands out from the sea of procedurals because to its sharp writing and character-driven storytelling, which have earned it plaudits for its grim, straight-from-the-headlines storylines.

Criminal Minds Evolution Season 17 Release Date:

Criminal Minds Evolution Season 17 Storyline:

Season 1’s serialized approach was a radical change from the original series’ episodic style, but it has enabled larger continuous stories in Criminal Minds: Evolution.

Season 2 of Criminal Minds: Evolution will be a hybrid, with certain episodes picking up where the first one left off (according to TV Line). We may expect the agents to start piecing together the unusual plot behind the enigmatic Gold Star and dealing with the aftermath of Voit’s arrest in the serialized tale.

The loss of Deputy Director Bailey would certainly shake up the squad, and Rossi’s brush with death may alter the grizzled veteran. Even though we don’t know much about the plot just yet, we can expect a refreshing departure from the original series thanks to the Criminal Minds: Evolution story’s hybrid style.

The program follows the heroes of the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) as they hunt for the unsub (unknown subject) and use profiling and behavioral analysis methods to solve crimes. The team is led by Chief Aaron Hotchner, who is succeeded by Emily Prentiss.

The top FBI profiler and inventor of the BAU, Jason Gideon, was accompanied by Derek Morgan, a former police officer and specialist in obsessional crimes from Chicago.

Participants include: Spencer Reid, an authority in geographical profiling; Jennifer Jareau (JJ), a communication liaison who eventually becomes a profiler; Elle Greenway, an expert on sex crimes; David Rossi, a rookie and first BAU agent; and Seaver, a rookie.

Following the kidnapping and murder of a young girl in Bethesda, Maryland, the BAU suspects that the same assailant was responsible for the deaths of a family of four in Alexandria, Virginia.

In the meantime, Penelope Garcia, who had previously worked as an analyst, returns to the team while Lewis examines many corpses discovered in a storage container in Yakima County, Washington.

After two men in the D.C. region are determined to be “bulls” in cuckoldry and their spinal cords cut, the squad sets out to identify the murderer.

The team learns that both cases are linked to a network of serial killers headed by a guy called “Sicarius,” as Lewis’s girlfriend reveals that the Department of Justice is attempting to dissolve the network.

The BAU is on the hunt for the last of the murder kits while simultaneously trying to track down a former army expert they suspect of plotting to set off a bomb in a park outside Washington, D.C. The BAU clashes with the FBI’s domestic terrorism squad in their quest to locate him.

Lewis and Garcia attempt to persuade the army expert, Tyler Green, to assist them in locating Sicarius after discovering that he is not a network member rather a covert vigilante searching for his sister.

Two house invaders from Germantown, Maryland, are under investigation by the team. They are shown luring security guards to homes equipped with surveillance systems, and then they force the homeowners to observe as they kill the guards over the cameras.

The crew sets out to find the unsub after two female government employees in the Washington, D.C., region are discovered dead with multiple bite marks. However, they discover that the case might have significant political ramifications after discovering that their primary suspicion is the son of a well-known senator.

Deputy Director Doug Bailey becomes involved in the investigation because he had a past relationship with one of the victims a government employee dating site. While investigating Sicarius, Garcia & Tyler Green clash.

The Sicarius case might be closed in the wake of the explosion unless the team finds a valid cause to keep it open. They find a death row inmate during their quest.
