Vin Diesel is the man of the great and unexpected refusals: the actor, as you will remember, did not take part in 2 Fast 2 Furious after the resounding success of the first chapter of the saga and in the same way decided to decline the invitation to be part of the cast of XXX 2 – The Next Level, the film that would see his return as Xander Cage.
But what did Diesel bring to to refuse such a sure success after the applause received for the first film in the franchise? At the time ours did not give too many explanations, simply announcing that he would not take part in the project.
Later, however, it became clear that the break was due to artistic differences: the production presented our Vin with two scripts, one written by Rich Wilkes and the other by Simon Kinberg, with the actor who, apparently, would have the first is clearly preferred of two.
However, the production decided to go ahead with the Kinberg script, with Diesel who at that point, in complete disagreement with the choice, decided to give up the franchise (and then return, as we all know, in XXX – Return of Xander Cage).
