Drew Barrymore recently celebrated her 46th birthday, and for the occasion she recalled some anecdotes about the past, in particular about the photo shoot for the actress, 20 years old at the time, released in 1995. Steven Spielberg, godfather of Barrymore, he sent her a quilt with the words 'Cover Up'.
He also sent her a copy of Playboy with the cover of the actress, covered in paper clothes for cut-out dolls.
During an episode of The Drew Barrymore Show on YouTube, the actress hosted her friend Steven Spielberg, for whom she starred in ET - The Extraterrestrial.
Spielberg showed the gift of apology that Barrymore sent him at the time of the Playboy service. Three photos of the actress dressed as a nun in which she apologizes to the director:"On the first photo it says 'I'm sorry', on the second 'I saw the light' and on the last frame 'I'm coming'".
The episode was very exciting for both given the strong bond between Drew Barrymore and Steven Spielberg.
The director remained close to the star in the most difficult and complicated moments of his life, both when he entered rehab at the age of 13 and when he attempted suicide at 14.
As Drew Barrymore often recalled, Steven Spielberg was the first person who really cared about her in her life.
Drew Barrymore has also formed a strong bond with another Hollywood personality: Adam Sandler has stated that he wants to work on another film with Barrymore, after good successes like 50 First Dates.
