A girl group called Girls5eva thought they would always be at the top of the music music industry. After twenty years, the girls are now women in their early to mid-forties all of whom have gone their separate lives.
But because they have to perform, they have to get back together. So that they don’t keep getting called “one-hit wonders,” they need to figure out if the tensions between the 4 of them can be fixed.
Even though the news of a new season came out in October 2022, the plot points are still being kept secret. In season 2, the group spent most of their time making an album, even though they only had 6 weeks to start writing and record a whole body of work.
So far, we’ve seen how hard the girls in the group’s name have tried to get back together. In the 2000s, the group only had one hit, but they got back together in the present to try again at pop stardom while juggling the obligations of being adults (spouses, kids, jobs, debt, ageing parents and shoulder pain).
In the last episode of the second season, the women were starting a new tour, and Dawn had just found out she was pregnant. We’re sure that will be a big part of season 3, along with the group’s future, their messy individual lives, and everything else that life throws at them.
