I am half-way through the fifth season, and gosh, it has been difficult to get this far. Since she was quite a spoiled brat in Black-ish, Zoey is even more of an unlikable character now that she is in college. She is so repulsive in her sense of self-importance, obsession with herself, and vanity.
Furthermore, despite Zoey’s abundance of luck, there is no proof that she actually toiled hard to gain any of her significant breaks. She remains the victim of the absurd situations she puts herself in.
I could never be friends with Zoey. My social circle is what brings me joy. You admire the twins, Nomi, and Ana.
The occasions when Yara tries to weep or be sad are agonizing. I’m really anticipating Junior saving the show at this point since I could happily binge-watch him!
