Amazon Bridges Apple and Google as the Most Valuable Brand

For the past 12 years, Apple and Google were at the forefront of the world’s most valuable brand.

Their reign at the top of the list has finally come to an end as Amazon has established itself as the new king.

On Tuesday, BrandZ Top Most Valuable Global Brands was disclosed by WPP and Kantar. According to the information contained in the list, Amazon brand currently has an estimated value of $315.5 billion.

The Global Head of BrandZ for Kantar, Doreen Wang said:

“Amazon’s phenomenal brand value growth of almost $108 billion in the last year demonstrates how brands are now less anchored to individual categories and regions….

The boundaries are blurring as technology fluency allow brands, such as Amazon, Google, and Alibaba, to offer a range of services across multiple consumer touchpoints. ”

The increasing influence of technology has obviously created “new opportunities for brand growth, ” an opportunity that Amazon has leveraged to increase its brand value over the years.

In preparation for its outstanding growth, the company announced in mid-May that it would pay its employees up to $10,000 if they quit their job and start delivery services to help the company to deliver its packages.

Amazon made the smart move to reduce the average delivery for its Prime members from two days to one day. The company also promised to pay such employees ‘three months’ worth of their salary.’

Apple currently stands in the second position with an estimated value of $309.5 billion while Google takes the third position at $309 billion in estimated value.
