During a recent promotional interview Joe Taslim, interpreter of Sub-Zero in the new reboot of Mortal Kombat, spoke about the possibility of a prequel centered on the iconic character of the saga.
Mortal Kombat will arrive in Italy during the month of May, but in the United States and some other parts of the world (such as the United Kingdom) it is already available and in full sponsorship campaign: during one of the phases of this campaign, director Simon McQuoid explained the reasons for a big change from video games, while now Taslim said about a prequel on Sub-Zero:
“To be honest, the most interesting path, in my opinion, is making a prequel. It would be a story about Bi-Han and his training in Lin Kuei. When he was kidnapped by the Lin Kuei, his parents were killed. So the film would be about his transformation into this deadly killer he is today, and I think that would be quite interesting. ”
Recall that Joe Taslim has signed for five Mortal Kombat films, and who knows, therefore, that the actor does not know more than he can tell. After all, the opening scene of Mortal Kombat, previewed by Warner Bros. on YouTube, you see Bi-Han already fully formed as a deadly Sub-Zero face Hanzo Hasashi (Hiroyuki Sanada), the man destined to become Scorpion.
