Hunger Release Date, Cast, Plot, and Everything You Need to Know

Every year, cruel and bloody games are played to reassure the district lines of one‘s failed rebellion and to make sure they never try to rebel again. Everyone in the town has to watch as the youngsters battle it out until only one is left standing and is named the winner.

Inside The Ballad of Songbirds as well as Snakes, we go back to Panem many years before the games, when they were just getting started. The story is mostly about how Coriolanus Snow came to be and how he tries to just save his family’s legacy after the war has destroyed it.

A teaser trailer was used to share the news. The prequel movie will be based on the same-named novel by Suzanne Collins. It will be about 18-year-old Coriolanus Snow, who is seen as the last hope for his dying family in a Capitol after the war.

Tom Blyth, who is known for his role in Benediction, will play Coriolanus Snow. Rachel Zegler will play Lucy Gray Baird. Francis Lawrence, who directed the first three movies in the series, will be in charge of this one as well.

In June 2019, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that Lionsgate was “eyeing” a prequel film after Suzanne Collins announced her new book. This was the official start of talks about going back to the world of Panem.

Now, the project will be led by Francis Lawrence, who directed the last three movies in the original series. Here’s what else we know about the project, including whether or not any of the original cast members will be back.

The book takes place 64 decades before the beginning of the first trilogy, and it goes into more detail about Panem’s history. In a statement about book, Collins told THR, “I wanted to investigate the state of nature, what we are, and what we think we need to do to stay alive.”

“The 10 years following the war, when Panem is trying to get back on its feet and is known as the Dark Days, are a good time for the characters to wrestle with all these questions and figure out what they think about people.”

The story is about 18-year-old Coriolanus Snow, a long time before he became the cruel President of Panem. The plot summary says, “Young Coriolanus is charming and charming, but his family had also fallen on hard times. He sees an opportunity for a change when he’s chosen to be a tutor again for the 10th Hunger Games, but his hopes are dashed when he is given this same girl tribute from poor District 12 to help.”

In the Hunger Games movies, Donald Sutherland played a younger version of President Snow. Even though a new actor will probably be chosen to play this same younger character, Sutherland might show up in flash-forward scenes in the upcoming movie.

Hunger Plot

The story is all about Coriolanus Snow when he was a young man. Snow was the president of Panem in the first trilogy. It also centers on Lucy Gray Baird, a mysterious girl from District 12 whom Snow guides through the 10th Hunger Games. Remember that Katniss Everdeen, the main character of the first trilogy that takes place over 60 years later, seems to be from District 12 and opposes Winter and his regime.

The Lionsgate synopsis for the movie says, “Years before he became the tyrannical president of Panem, 18-year-old Coriolanus Winter sees a chance to change his luck when he is chosen to become a mentor to Lucy Gray Baird, the girl tribute from poor District 12.”

The movie’s director, Francis Lawrence, told Vanity Fair, “This is mostly a love story.” “It’s a love story, but it takes place in a different world and a different time.” In this prequel to the Appetite Games trilogy, which takes place in Panem after the war, we follow 18-year-old Coriolanus Snow on his journey, many years before he becomes a cruel, rose-cutter president.

In this timeline, Snow is a teenager who is the final hope for his once-proud family, which has fallen on hard times in a Capitol after the war. The 10th Hunger Games are coming up quickly, and Snow is scared when he is told he has to train Lucy Gray Baird, a young girl who will be a tribute in the next Games.

Lucy is from the very poor District 12, the very same district that Katniss Everdeen, the winner of Mockingjay, is from. When Lucy Gray starts singing, she interrupts the reaping ceremony, just like Katniss did, and everyone in Panem stops to listen.

When Snow hears Lucy’s defiantly free-spirited song, he thinks he could be able to change the odds in their favor. He sees her win as just a way to make sure he and his family have a good future. They work together to try to win the games, and as they do, they start to feel complicated feelings for one another.
