JEE Main exam will be held from 18 July to 23 July. This means that the results of this exam can be released in the first week of August. Only the top 2.5 lakh candidates who qualified in the JEE Main exam including January and April (now May) session are considered eligible for appearing in the Advanced Exam. Due to this it can be anticipated that the results of the Mains exam will be released well before the JEE Advanced exam.
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi will conduct the examination. This year, 20 percent of seats for JEE Advance will be for girls. These seats will be made in addition to the existing seats. Last year, these seats were 17 percent. This decision has been taken to equalize the number of boys and girls across the IITs, as the qualifying rate for IITs is lower than that of boys.
