This Thursday, the production company Lionsgate confirmed that the fifth installment of the franchise had been given the green light, since the fourth installment has already been working on pre-production for a little time.
In fact, the studio's CEO, Jon Feltheimer, announced that the next two projects will be filmed one after the other, that is: when the John Wick 4 recordings end, soon after the process for the fifth story will begin.

"We are busy preparing scripts for the next two installments of our John Wick action franchise, with John Wick 4 slated to hit theaters on Memorial Day weekend in 2022 (May 30)," the executive said.
"We look forward to filming John Wick installments 4 and 5 back-to-back when Keanu is available early next year."

The fourth installment of John Wick, whose three previous films have generated more than 579 million dollars worldwide, had to delay its premiere by a year due to the coronavirus pandemic; It was due to hit theaters on May 21, 2021.
At the moment, the exact date on which John Wick 4 will resume his recordings is unknown and when the start of production of the next part is contemplated.
