Robert De Niro and the indicator on the set of Killers of the Flower Moon: I’m getting old

This week Robert De Niro suffered an accident on the set of Killers of the Flower Moon, the new film by Martin Scorsese who showed himself a few days ago with the first photo from the set with Leonardo DiCaprio.

The production had immediately specified that filming would not stop due to the injury, hinting that fortunately it was not a serious accident, and in fact in a new interview it is Robert De Niro himself who minimizes what happened:

It was just a small fall, I took a step forward and went down. I have had very severe pain in my quadriceps, and now I have to keep it at rest. But it happens, especially when you get old! You have to be prepared for unexpected things. But thankfully, this is manageable.

De Niro’s injury occurred in Oklahoma, where filming is underway, and the Oscar-winning duo has been returned to New York where he will be treated with necessary medical assistance. However, the actor already had plans to return to the Big Apple per “take a few weeks off“, therefore the production on Killers of the Flower Moon it will not suffer any hitches. But from the details revealed by the actor about his role in the film, apparently the legs would not have needed for the interpretation anyway.

What I’m doing with Martin on Killers of the Flower Moon can be described as a ‘sedentary’ role. I don’t move much, thank God. So, it will be manageable. I just have to let the muscle heal.

Killers of the Flower Moon doesn’t have a release date yet.
