Will Guardians of the Galaxy 3 be Dave Bautista’s last Marvel movie? Here’s what he said!

During a recent promotional interview with Digital Spy Dave Bautista, interpreter of Drax in Marvel Cinematic Universe, has hinted that Guardians of the Galaxy 3 will be his last film in the saga.

The actor echoed the statements of director James Gunn, who in recent days has reiterated his will to conclude the adventure at Marvel Studios after the next episode of Guardians, completing the trilogy. After all, the link between Bautista and Gunn is known: when Disney fired the author due to old Tweets that re-emerged on social media, the actor was the one who most frankly fought against the company’s decision, taking sides in no uncertain terms (and even with strong statements) in defense of the director, promising not to reprise the role of Drax without Gunn leading the project.

Since then the author as known has been summarized and Bautista will return as Drax in both Thor: Love & Thunder that in Guardians of the Galaxy 3, however it seems that his adventure has come to an end: “I don’t know what the script for the third film is, to be honest I haven’t read it yet“said the actor.”There was a script years ago that obviously will have to change though because the whole direction of the Marvel universe has changed since then. At one point there was also talk of a film about Drax and Mantis, it was James’ idea. It was really brilliant, but nothing came of it. I don’t think they are very interested, or it doesn’t fit what they have planned. But other than that, no. I mean, as far as my contractual obligations are concerned, I have Guardians 3, and that will probably be the end of Drax.
