IS Deadline to inform us with its exclusive of the arrival of Lockdown, new and intriguing film directed by Doug Liman (Edge of Tomorrow, The Bourne Identity) recentemente acquistato da Warner Bros. Pictures within a very important agreement also relating to exploitation rights at a global level.

The cast of the film is practically all-star and consists of Anne Hathaway, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Ben Stiller, Stephen Merchant, Ben Kingsley, Lucy Boynton, Mindy Kaling e Dule Hill. The signature behind the script is also prominent, being that of Steven Knight di Peaky Blinders e Locke. The film is also expected to land exclusively on HBO Max as the original title of the streaming platform already at the beginning of 2021.

The film became a hot title in the virtual market after Toronto Film Festival 2020 in September, where it was presented to potential buyers. The history of the project, mixed heist movie and romantic comedy, follows a couple who decide to commit a robbery at London's Harrods department store during the lockdown caused by the Coronavirus Pandemic.

The film was also shot in London at a very difficult time, as production hobbled not a little due to constant interruptions.
