At the moment very little information is known about Thor: Love & Thunder: from the production point of view we know that a huge portion of the film was shot using Industrial Light & Magic’s The Volume technology, the same used by the TV series The Mandalorian Disney +, while about the plot of the new film it has been confirmed that it will include the presence of the Guardians of the Galaxy and the return of Jane Foster, played again by Natalie Portman. Furthermore, Christian Bale is supposed to play Gorr the Slaughterer of Gods, one of the most fearsome villains of Thor’s cosmology in the comics.
The cast will also be completed by Russell Crowe, interpreter of the god Zeus, and enriched by the presence of Matt Damon and Tessa Thompson, who returns as the warrior Valkyrie. The release date is set for May 2022.
