Critics loved the very first season of Made in Abyss. They liked the story, the animation, and the characters. On Rotten Tomatoes, this tv series got an average audience score of 75%, and on IMDB, it got an 8.4/10, which is a good score.
The movie will be available on Netflix for the first time on July 7, 2017.

Even though I like the manga, I chose to watch it when it wasn’t being updated. The music fits the mood of the Abyss perfectly, the characters feel real and alive, and the match is never boring.
I really think you should read this if you like adventure stories. But there are more subtleties in the manga, so if you don’t like that kind of thing, stick with the anime.
