I like Alexandra Daddario’s work. I’m interested in this genre. I find watching people on TV fascinating. I like a good logical narrative as well, and even though I’ve just seen the initial season, I haven’t yet come to care about any of the characters. This is disappointing since I want to like the program and it has so much promise.
However, at this point, I couldn’t care less if the adversary and the protagonist were killed out. I like the new program and am forward to read the novels after the current season is over.
I’ve read a number of novels that have been made into movies or television shows, and none of the adaptations have ever been as good as the originals.
Generally speaking, books are better than television shows. Please help me find an actress or actor who did a respectable job of correctly recreating a book on television. It just does not occur. Having said that, I must admit that I like this program and can’t wait for the next season!
If you like witchy, supernatural fiction, you should give this show a try, albeit you should be aware that it won’t be as excellent as the novels. I’ve definitely been on the edge of my chair the whole time and want more!
