a great Tarantinian star will tell it!

Pending the publication of the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood novel, written by Quentin Tarantino at his debut as a novelist and also arriving in Italy in June, the first information arrives on a third version of the director’s acclaimed ninth film.

This is the official audiobook of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, announced by the Twitter account of the Oscar 2020 nominated film. And, as you can see at the bottom of the article, a great Tarantino star has been recruited to narrate the prose adventures of Rick Dalton and Cliff Booth: this is Jennifer Jason Leigh, interpreter of the lethal Daisy Domergue in The Hateful Eight, a role for which she earned a 2016 Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress.

The audiobook will obviously accompany the publication of the novel, which will go on sale in the United States from 29 June. The book will expand the stories of the characters of Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt and will follow their stories “back and forth in time“, adding to what we have seen at the cinema many deleted scenes or extended sequences, such as the period spent by the two in Italy to shoot the spaghetti western series that has revived Rick’s career (for other insights, retrieve our special on the best scenes of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood).

Recall that in the past the same Quentin Tarantino had announced an extended version of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood to be distributed in the form of a TV series for Netflix as it had already done in the past with The Hateful Eight. Probably also due to the pandemic so far there have been no major updates on the project, and it is not clear whether the novel is intended as a replacement for it.

The novel by Once Upon a Time in Hollywood it will be published in Italy in June by La nave di Teseo.
