Almost 20 years ago, a tragedy tore the working-class neighbourhood of Millwood apart. The mysterious attacker is now going after a new group of Little Liars, who are a diverse bunch of teenage girls.
They are being punished for the sins their parents did twenty years ago. Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin is a dark, coming-of-age, horror-tinged play that takes place in the Pretty Little Liars world, but not in Rosewood. It is set in a new town with a new group of Little Liars.
The name change announcement and the drawing of one of the Beasley twin girls choking on a cheer megaphone, which is both cute and gross, hint at a time jump.
When we last saw the group, they were having a lot of Christmas fun. The new title makes it sound like we’ll catch up with them during the summer, which means we might have to go back at least 6 months.
Other than that, there isn’t much more to learn from the ending. Previously said, there wasn’t much left to guess at the final episode of season one. Most things were clear and the Liars were ready to move on with their lives.
But, on the other hand, it’s Millwood, but really who knows what’s around the next corner?
Archie, the mute killer (not to be confused with Riverdale’s Archie), escaped from the hospital and has since begun the run. However, his father, Principal Clanton, is no longer there to pull his cords and tell him which killer path to take.
But this Archie is a bit of a tragic figure. He had to hide away from a young age because he “had a face only a mother could love.” Sincerely, what is it with the mom and dad in this town?!
He did, however, care a lot about his sister Angela, who killed herself when she was a teenager after being raped by Sheriff Beasley.
In a bitter twist, she was kicked out of her group of friends, the mothers, even though they didn’t would like to start believing Beasley, who’d been trying to date Madison’s mom at the moment, was a rapist.
In the last few minutes of season one, it seems like Archie has made the decision to use his murderer instinct to pursue the rapist men in town.
He first attacks Sheriff Beasley and stabs him to dying in his hospital bed. He then goes straight to Chip’s house, where he is staying again for Christmas holiday while he waits for his trial for raping Madison and Tabby.
Could Archie, now that he’s free from his cruel and revengeful father, truly turn vigilante and protect the girls?
It looks like season one focused solely on the moms, but season two could be more about the girls’ dads. After all, they aren’t exactly innocent either. Now that her abusive sheriff dad is dead, Kelly must learn how to live without him.

Okay, for now I’ll just say something about the pilot episode: it’s better than I expected, I find the whole idea interesting, and even if the acting isn’t great, it’s at least nice! (Especially for younger actresses and actors who are women). So far, it’s going well, and I couldn’t be happier about it.
