no, Roger Clark of Red Dead Redemption 2 will not be playing The Thing

As probable but not yet certain, the announced Fantastic 4 cinematic reboot directed by Jon Watts should close Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, due out between the end of 2023 and the first months of 2024, and with the dialogues with the screenwriters still in progress, talking about casting is something premature.

Not many know it, however, and many fans via social media are convinced that there are already names to interpret Mr. Fantastic, the Invisible Woman, The Human Torch and The Thing, and about the latter just a recent tweet by Roger Clark, voice actor of the protagonist of the video game Red Dead Redemption 2, sent fans into raptures with the timing of the actor’s choice, unintentionally believing that he could be the one to dress the role of Ben Grimm.

Obviously this is not the case and Clark himself re-shared his tweet from a few days ago to apologize to the fans, writing:

I want to sincerely apologize to everyone for this slightly misleading tweet. It just wanted to be the comment of a big fan trying to ‘casually’ throw her hat on an important ring for a dream role. Good luck to anyone who gets it. Thanks to everyone who responded positively to it. Maybe you could have better luck with my agent’s Marvel“.
