Rich and Shameless Season 2 Storyline:

The first season of Shameless, we see Frank Gallagher’s dysfunctional family. He is a single, trashy, and alcoholic father of six kids living in Chicago, Illinois. Monica, Frank’s bipolar wife, ran away from him before the first season.

Since then, the family has been run by Frank’s oldest daughter, Fiona, who elevates her five other siblings: the very smart Lip, the dorky and powerful Ian, the fully grown and rooted Debbie,

the trouble makers and unruly Carl, and the mysteriously black Liam, whose biological father is revealed to be Frank in the second half of the first season.

Kevin and Veronica, the Gallaghers’ next-door neighbours, fake getting married in the middle of the season to get a big dowry.

The main plot of the season is about a rich man named Steve Wilton, who the Fiona and Veronica meet at a dance club. When Fiona starts dating Steve, she finds out that he steals high-end cars.

Tony Markovich, who has known Fiona since they were kids and is now a police officer, wants to date her, but she turns him down.

Once Steve leaves town to go see his relatives in Lake Forest, it turns out that his real surname is Jimmy Lishman.

Under the name Steve, Jimmy comes from an affluent background that thinks he is aside at medical school.

Debbie agrees to keep Steve’s secret from Fiona when she finds out about it, but she does tell Steve’s biological mother about his double life.

Ian is a closeted homosexual, and only Lip and his friend Mandy know about this. This is a side plot that runs through the whole season.

Ian wants to have a sexual relationship with Kash, the owner of a nearby convenience store and his boss. Kash is unhappy with his wife, Linda.

When Linda finds out about the affair through the recently installed security cameras in the store, she uses blackmail to get Kash to get her pregnant.

Mickey Milkovich, Mandy’s thug brother, steals from stores and makes fun of Kash all the time. When Ian talks to Mickey, they have sex without planning to.

This is the start of a casual sexual relationship. When Kash finds out, he gets angry and starts shooting Mickey in the leg when he tries to steal something from the store.

Mickey is caught trying to steal from a store, and Kash is praised for his actions. In the last episode, Ian tells Fiona that he is gay, and she is fine with it.

Lip, Frank’s oldest son, is in an open marriage with the promiscuous Karen Jackson, but Lip wants their relationship to be more than just a one-night stand.

Sheila, Karen’s mother, is a nice but strange housewife with a severe case of agoraphobia. Frank falls in love with Sheila and moves in with her, but he’s mostly there to get Sheila’s disability checks, which upsets Karen.

Eddie, Sheila’s estranged ex-husband, tries to get back together with Karen by inviting her to a “purity ball.” This is an event for fathers and daughters where girls promise to stay pure.

Eddie calls Karen a whore when she gives a long list of her sexual experiences at the ball, as the program says she must. Sheila starts kicking Eddie out of her house in a rage, which helps her get over her fear of being alone.

In a more sleazy turn of events, Karen wants to get back at her father, so she rapes Frank while he is unconscious and sends Eddie and his coworkers a video blog about it.

Eddie kills himself by jumping into a frozen lake. He is upset about the video and what has happened in the past.

So, Karen splits up with Lip because she feels bad about what she did. Frank and Karen both said they were sorry to Lip about the video.

In the last episodes, Lip and Ian are arrested for driving one of Steve’s stolen cars. This puts a strain on Fiona and Steve’s relationship, but Fiona admits that she may be having an affair with Steve.

In the meantime, Tony finds out the truth about Steve’s job. He attacks Steve and gives him a choice: either turn himself in and be arrested, or leave Fiona and disappear without a trace.

Steve tries to get Fiona to go to Costa Rica with him, but she turns him down and takes a job in an office from a new buddy, Jasmine, so she can take care of her family even more. Steve has to leave with out girl he thought he’d be with because he has to.
