Shakespeare And Hathaway Season 5 Storyline:
Frank Hathaway, a former detective inspector who is now a debt-ridden private investigator, is the focus of the narrative.
He first meets Luella Shakespeare when she hires him to look into her online fiancé. The fiancé is a scam artist, as Sebastian Brudenell and Hathaway find out. They give Luella an update, but after reassuring her, the wedding takes place.
Local Detective Inspector Christina Marlowe, who had been Frank’s subordinate, suspects Luella of murder when her new husband is found dead at the reception.
When the mystery of what occurred is solved, Luella is pushed alongside Frank and Sebastian, and once her reputation has been cleared, she uses her discovered funds to invest in Frank’s company.
Sebastian Brudenell, a young, ambitious actor with RADA training, is Frank’s only employee and exploits his talents when undercover inquiries are necessary. He resides above Gloria Fonteyn’s stage costume business.
Frank and Lu are hired by flash technology entrepreneur Bertie Tark (Jonno Davies) in episode 1 of If It Be Man’s Work to find the mole leaking confidential information from his business, Forosa, just days before they’re scheduled to debut a hot new app.
In episodes 2 and 3, Frank and Lu look into the strange drowning of a former beauty queen. In episode 2, If Music Be The Food Of Love, dancing school owner Beattie Delamar (Ruthie Henshall) engages the duo to lift a curse she thinks is hurting her company.
In the fourth episode, “Most Wicked Speed,” Frank and Lu get entangled in the world of fast automobiles while attempting to exonerate another private investigator who has been charged with murder.
While Lu and Frank are watching a neighborhood slimming club for rival owner Val Twigg (Jodie Prenger) in episode 5, Hunger for Bread, Lu runs into her sister Lia (Tracy Ann Oberman), and in episode 6, Die We Must, a mystery takes place in a Gothic mansion owned by well-known sci-fi author Greg Alban (Clive Russell).
An actress Sebastian knows seeks for assistance in episode 7’s Some Cupid Kills to look into the death of her partner Dalton, who works for a Shakespeare-for-hire company.
In the episodes And Rarest Parts and Time Decays, Frank finds himself in trouble with the law after being named the prime suspect in a murder that occurred during a Shakespearean walk.
In And Rarest Parts, Frank and Lu investigate possible supernatural activity at the residence of a lottery winner as well as model railroad enthusiast.
Jo was absent for a significant portion of episode 9, according to Mark. “They reworked this episode so that it would be about me going on a stroll with these men and someone being killed since she had to miss a whole week of shooting [after test positive for COVID-19]. Although it was a lot of fun, doing the act without Jo felt quite strange.
It was a really strange sensation not being with Jo while filming Shakespeare & Hathaway. Obviously, she then returned, and when you see it, you likely won’t even notice since she’ll be in it just as much as always. I was so lonely.

I absolutely love Shakespeare and Hathaway. I fell in love with the characters. The show would not be quite as good without Sebastian he is a riot going undercover for the team. I hope you seriously will renew the show for a fifth season. I binge watch the first four seasons and it left me wanting more!
I’ve just discovered this brilliant show a few months back & have already binge watched it. Today I sat down to watch another episode & discovered I watched the last episode yesterday & didn’t even know it. I’ve really come to love the characters & am so involved, I almost cried when I couldn’t watch anymore. Please, please, please create another season or 6!!! I watch on Britbox & hope it will still play on there when ready.
Thanks for listening…
