Snake Eyes, Henry Golding in the new motion poster of the GI Joe spin-off

Yesterday we were shown the first official images of GI Joe Origins: Snake Eyes, the spin-off dedicated to the character brought to the screen by Henry Golding, and today we can see a first motion poster of the film.

Paramount Pictures (and the pandemic) have kept us waiting for the new feature in the GI Joe franchise, but we are finally approaching its theatrical debut: in the United States Snake Eyes in fact, it will be released on 23 July 2021, in the height of the summer season.

And while we wait for the time to see it on the big screen, we will have to make use of the new promotional materials just released by the studios, such as the motion poster that you can also find at the bottom of the news.

As you can see, in this instance Henry Golding he does not wear a mask, a sign that what we will have in front of us will be the more human side of Snake Eyes, just as the actor himself had announced: “When you can see someone’s eyes, you also see their past, their future, and the personality behind it all“.

Directed by Robert Schwentke and written by Evan Spiliotopoulos, Snake Eyes, starring Haruka Abe, Iko Uwais, Andrew Koji, Takehiro Hira and Samara Weaving, will serve as a prequel but also a reboot for the franchise, as Golding stated in a previous interview: “They have reinvented GI Joe, and what awaits us is something very interesting and far removed from what we have seen so far on the big screen. I think there may be room for a lot of spin-offs, to be honest. And I believe this movie will be the launch of a brand new franchise“.
