During a recent double-interview with Carey Mulligan for Variety magazine, Zendaya flashed a comment on Alfred Molina, legendary interpreter of Doctor Octopus in Spider-Man 2 by Sam Raimi.
The star reprized her iconic role for Spider-Man 3 del Marvel Cinematic Universe, whose filming is currently underway: it has not yet been clarified whether Molina's will be the exact same Doc Ock of the film with Tobey Maguire or another version of the villain adapted for Marvel Studios, but now thanks to Zendaya we know that everyone is completely crazy about him.
In the clip you find below, Mulligan mentions Alfred Molina in a larger speech and the star of Euphoria intervenes promptly: "By the way, it's so cute!".
Unfortunately, no other details, a bit like the recent mention of the aliens on the set, but at least Molina's presence in the film would seem definitively confirmed. Certainly in the coming weeks other details will emerge on the much talked about Spider-Man 3, whose first teaser trailer was expected for December 2020: that appointment is skipped, certainly due to the delays accumulated due to the current state of the industry, but with the Super Bowl coming, who knows.
Recall that, according to rumors, the film will also include Charlie Cox as Daredevil (or at least Matt Murdock), and especially Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, who should reprise their roles from Spider-Man.
