In the course of an interview granted to Empire magazine, Daisy Ridley is back to talk about her commitment again in the latest sequel trilogy of Star Wars and if his was a definitive farewell to the franchise in the last chapter of the saga, The Rise of Skywalker, or there is always an open space for his possible return as Rey.
We know that in the coming years the Star Wars universe will expand considerably with new projects announced for both the big and small screen, but it is not yet clear if any of these will link directly to the latest sequel trilogy ended in 2019 with Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
"I mean, never say never. I'm always open to come back and revisit the character. But there is also this wonderful and gigantic universe with all these stories that have yet to be told. I believe there are still a lot of good things waiting to be told before any potential return of mine".
The actress had already expressed this thought previously, when she explained: "I don't think I'll ever perceive it as goodbye because there is always a very large group of people on the web and it's a very nice club to be a part of. Plus, I had a lot of fun and loved that experience. In terms of revisiting the character, I think it's a 'bye-bye' for now".
Ridley had left social media some time ago and recently expressed his intention not to return to that world: "I think everyone tried to turn my choice into something bigger. I was asked not to close my profile and I said 'Okay', but then it got to the point where I didn't care anymore about having one. They are an extraordinary means of communication, particularly in a period like this. They just aren't for me".
