When we last met Tom (Nikesh Patel) and Jessie (Matafeo), they had just experienced the excruciatingly uncomfortable and enchanting whirlwind of falling in love, which is particularly difficult when the person who plays you is a well-known actor.
Will Jessie bypass London to see relatives in New Zealand? These were just a few of our worries as both of them rode the bus to Charing Cross. Will Tom take the big chance and relocate to Ireland?

As Tom, who is uncomfortable struggling to make sense of everything like the rest of us, Patel softly captures everyone’s hearts in the room.
This is especially true of his relationship with Jessie with his own family. Every scene is delightful and realistic because to Patel’s deadpan humor and tremendous sympathy, particularly when the main pair argues on anything.
The focus of the second season will be on how this “relationship” develops over time.
Season 2 will take up where the initial season left off, with Jessie being confronted with the fallout from her heroic decision to remain in East London and pursue her love with Tom rather than adhere to her original plan to return to New Zealand at the conclusion of the first season.
