StoryBots is an educational media franchise for kids in the United States that is best known for the Netflix show Ask the StoryBots. The StoryBots library has educational TV shows, books, videos, music, games, and classroom activities that are meant to make learning the basics fun for kids ages 3 to 8 and spark their intellectual curiosity.

After starting mostly online and getting more than 620 thousand million views on YouTube, StoryBots released its first TV series on Netflix in 2016.

Ask the StoryBots is now in its third season. It has consistently won Daytime Emmy Awards, an Annie Award, and honors from the Peabody Awards and the British Academy Children’s Awards. It has also inspired a companion show called StoryBots Super Songs and a holiday special called A StoryBots Christmas.

The brand was first made by the entertainment studio JibJab. It later became a subsidiary of StoryBots, Inc., an impartial production company. In May 2019, Netflix bought StoryBots, Inc. as part of a larger effort to add more educational and family-friendly content to its streaming service.

StoryBots Classroom, a free internet resource for teachers, was released in 2016. It gives teachers unlimited access to all of StoryBots’ digital books, videos, and activities, in addition to the freshly formed Common Core State Benchmarks Initiative-aligned Math Games and a set of tools for managing the classroom, such as the Backpack and Class Roster.

The product is made to work on laptops, tablets, and whiteboards with touch screens. When StoryBots Classroom came out, Education Week wrote about it and EdSurge called it a S’Cool Tool for the Week. Since then, it has won the Teachers’ Award Nomination as well as the Tech Edvocate Prize for the best app or tool for teaching young children.
