Stranded Season 2  Storyline:

In the first scene of the show, a small boat is anchored in the water. Even though he’s wearing a mask, the young man with the spear needs to stand underwater without any way to help him breathe.

The young man’s name is Kraam, and he goes to a prestigious high school on the island. He is also one of the few people who live on that island.

It was his final day at school, and he plans to go to Bangkok to continue his education. His friend Joey talked to some people and set up a sort of going-away party for a group of their classmates so they could remain and observe the lunar eclipse.

During a conversation with his father, Kraam gets an old dagger that was actually given to him by his “real father.” Kraam doesn’t get to hear the voicemail that tells him who he really is because a huge tsunami hits the island at the same time.

Kraam’s father dies, but when the story jumps ahead 25 days, we discover out that Kraam and 35 of his fellow students have all lived. Anan has become the leader of this group, and he keeps taking everyone’s phones to look for a signal.

Arisa, the smartest person in the group when it comes to technology, tries hard, but so far they haven’t been successful in picking up a signal and are stuck. Joey tells everyone that they should give their leader a little more time to figure out what to do.

May, on the other hand, has been working as a nurse, taking care of people’s wounds and illnesses with the medical knowledge she has learned from her father.

When an infection sets in on one of the teens’ wounds, she makes it look for an individual who needs antibiotics. Joey and Kraam went looking for the intact house of the headmaster.

While Joey is out looking, he engages in a match with Kraam and finds out he likes May. Then, Joey sees a boat stuck on a cliff, and as they climb up to look at it, Joey plummets to the ground.

Kraam rushes him to May, but he was in a very bad way because his lungs had collapsed, and May wasn’t strong enough to bring him back. Hence, Joey doesn’t make it.

Kraam suggests taking the boat down, but Anan doesn’t agree with him and says it’s a bad idea because it’s too dangerous.

But he later betrays Kraam. When Kraam tells everyone at Joey’s funeral that there is no hope for their rescue, Anan takes his idea and tells everyone the same thing.

He tells everybody that they have to take care of themselves and leave the island because they have no other choice.

The main plot is about a group of perfect Thai students who are getting ready to leave the small island where they go to school. There is only one school on the island and not much else around it.

Still, a tidal wave hits right before they leave, so the story skips ahead a month to when the people who survived realize that no one is available to assist them. They are now all alone.

From here on out, the section has spoilers for the rest of the series.

If you haven’t watched any of the seven episodes yet, it’s best to skip this section so you don’t find out what happens before you watch the series. The Ruins, the first episode, is available online.

When a big storm hits their island, rich and privileged educators celebrate and get ready to go in different directions.

After a few weeks, there is no longer any chance that the tragedy can be fixed. In Episode 2: The Return, Kraam wakes up from a strange dream and is scared.

Reviews:

It had the possibility of being excellent, and up until the end, I mostly liked it. Obviously, the characters went through times of hormonal teen melodrama, but they did it with a little less obvious stupidity than American teens would, so I could deal with it.

Then there was this whole buildup to something big at the end, but that big event at the finish made no sense at all. Why would things be that way in the future? But what’s more important is

Why did so many important characters try to get the story to end in a way that seemed bad for everyone? What would be the point? What was the point of that ending? The last episode was a huge disappointment.
