The second season of Sweet Tooth would have to start picking up where the initial one left off, with Gus and the other hybrids in the hands of the evil General Abbot and Dr. Singh, a scientist.

That’s very bad news because the crazy military man wants to cut up the kids because he thinks their DNA contains the cure again for the plague that killed everyone.

Bear has finally gotten in touch with Gus’ mother, who was thought to just be dead for a long time. It turns out that she was sent to Alaska, which is where the sickness does think to have started.

There are still a lot of questions about this apocalyptic pandemic, and Jepperd and Aimee’s rescue isn’t over yet, so there’s a lot for executive producer Susan Downey to look into in a possible second season.

“But when you’re making a season, especially the first one, you also want to make sure that it would be enough if that was all there ever was. So it’s about finding the right balance between telling the whole story in the initial season and knowing, “This is incredibly deep and therefore rich, and there is so much greater you could have done if you had the chance.”
