In a move destined to mark the history of cinema, Warner Bros. has announced that all of its 2021 films will go to HBO Max, the on-demand streaming platform launched a few months ago in the US.
This means that The Batman, the new film written and directed by Matt Reeves starring Robert Pattinson, was 'saved' from the streaming output due to the broken headphone: as you will recall, in fact, after the first release date set for June 2021, the film had been postponed to October 2021, but due to the delays accumulated for the first of the lockdown and subsequently for Pattinson's coronavirus positivity, Warner Bros. decided to send it directly to March 2022.
Fans initially protested this decision, but now that Warner has announced her incredible decision, many on social media have changed their mind: in the past, in fact, The Batman became trending on Twitter thanks to the numerous posts from fans grateful that the film could be released on the big screen, having slipped to 2022.
For now, in fact, WarnerMedia says their 2021 release plans won't extend until 2022. It remains to be seen whether this decision will remain final or whether it will be subject to change. What do you think about it? Tell us in the comments.
