Interviewed by the Sunday Cultural Times to talk about the imminent release of Army of the Dead, a new zombie movie coming to Netflix on May 14th, Zack Snyder has revealed that he has eliminated a scene that is too pushed which included the nude of a zombie stripper.
“There was a sequence where one of the male strippers had a huge penis with a piece ripped off from a bite. We thought it was a little too much.” Snyder said.
During the chat, the director of Justice League has also anticipated some details on the social component of the film. “Obviously George Romero said his was all social criticism. And we felt obliged to do it with this film too.” he added. “With a few editorial choices on the content, zombie movies are a great opportunity to talk about us as people. Ours is a monster movie in which we are the monster. It’s a social film rather than a science film – the science is rather uncertain. “
