Due to Netflix canceling The Midnight Club in December 2022, there will be no season 2. Plans to continue the series forever, so this is upsetting.
The Midnight Club Story
The Midnight Club’s first season is a horror/thriller hybrid in which a group of youngsters are at the center of the plot because they have contracted a fatal ailment. These kids are staying at Brightcliffe Home Hospice, a hospice facility located just outside of Seattle that is overseen by a doctor with a murky past.
These kids are going to join a club, have a midnight meeting, and swap scary tales. These kids have made a contract that whichever one of them dies first from their sickness would attempt to contact the other from beyond the grave, so it will be interesting to watch how they deal with these unexplained supernatural abilities.

The Midnight Club Season 1 Ending
The Midnight Club left viewers on a massive cliffhanger at the end of season one. Season 1 ended with an episode called “Midnight.” We watched how Dr. Stanton stepped in before the rites were finished to rescue Ilonka. In retrospect, Ilonka sees how Shasta manipulated her into participating in the rites in order to extend her own life.
At the episode’s conclusion, we’ll see the whole midnight club assembled for a storytelling session, when everyone pitches in to assist Ilonka wrap up her tale. The lady Ilonka and Kevin had been seeing turns out to be the original owner and creator of Brightcliffe Home, as is later revealed.
The Midnight Club Season 2 Expected Plot
Since the season finale of The Midnight Club hinted that Dr. Georgina Stanton may not be the kindhearted lady we previously believed she was, season 2 is likely to dive more into her background. At the end, we get a glimpse of her in her rooms, where we learn that she has been hiding an hourglass tattoo on the back of her neck under a wig. This tattoo is the symbol of the now-defunct death cult known as the Paragon.
The plot surprise suggests that Dr. Georgina Stanton is really Regina Ballard’s (who we’ve only known as Athena) daughter. In 1940, when her mother poisoned 12 members of the Paragon collective as part of a sacrifice rite to prolong her own life, she ran away and denounced them to the authorities. Perhaps her daughter, now known as Dr. Stanton, inherited her mother’s desire for a long life, which would explain why she looks younger than her actual year of birth (1924) would indicate.
