Better Call Saul Season 6 Recap
“Saul Gone,” the 13th episode of Season 6 of Better Call Saul, is the last one in the series. It was written and directed by Peter Gould, who also co-created the show and runs it. Gould wrote the episode “Better Call Saul” of Breaking Bad that introduced the character Saul Goodman. He also created the spin-off with Vince Gilligan. In different flashbacks in the episode, Saul asks Mike and Walter what they regret, and Chuck asks Jimmy if he’s ever thought about doing something different with his life.
Gene was caught and charged in 2010. He used his old opponent Bill Oakley as a co-counselor to try to get his term reduced to seven years in prison by saying he was a victim of Walt’s plots. He also offers to say that he killed Howard, but Kim has already said that he did. After being sent back to Albuquerque for his trial, Saul makes up new evidence about Kim in order to get her to show up.
He comes back later under the name James McGill and explains his full role in Walt’s business and Chuck’s death. He is then sentenced to 86 years in prison. Jimmy has become popular among the other people in jail, who call him “Saul.” Kim stops by to see him, and the two of them smoke together. As she walks away, Jimmy makes his signature finger-gun sign at her.
