The Real Friends Of WeHo Release Date, Cast, Plot, and Everything You Need to Know
The Good Friend of WeHo, a new reality show that will start on MTV on January 20th, is getting ready to go. Celebrity stylist Brad Goreski, artistic director and singer Todrick Hall, action star Curtis Hamilton, CEO of Buttah Skincare Dorión Renaud, host as well as business owner Jaymes Vaughan, or digital entrepreneur Joey Zauzig round out the cast of real-life West Hollywood friends.
The show’s press release says that the series is “an unfiltered and honest glance at a small group of people living, loving, or pursuing their passions inside the West Hollywood community.”
The logline says, “This revealing and funny new ensemble docuseries follows the lives of some of Hollywood’s most powerful and wealthy LGBTQ+ celebrities, personalities, but rather entrepreneurs as they perform in front of thousands of people, make high-stakes business deals, celebrate significant life milestones, collaborate the red carpet, and tell their most intimate facts to family and friends.”
Todrick Hall, who is 37 years old, first became famous on Season 9 of American Idol. However, his music career has led him far beyond the stage of a reality TV show. Hall has also done well on Broadway, as well as in pop music and with his popular YouTube channel. Some of the plays he has been in are Kinky Boots, Chicago, and Waitress.
Goreski says at the beginning of the trailer, “West Hollywood is the centre of a gay world.” Toward the end of the trailer, he says, “It’s hard to be in the public eye and a good example.” The video cuts to Hall, who says, “If you’re looking for the word scandal, I’ve been in a few of those.” I’ll just tell people the truth.”
