CBSE Board Remaining Exam Date 2020: According to a report by The Indian Express, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) may conduct board examinations for the remaining 12 subjects in the first two weeks of July. Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal is expected to announce the revised examination schedule this week. According to the report, the government has decided that the class 12 board examinations should be over before the JEE Main Main is held. The entrance examination for admission to NIC will be held between 18 to 23 July for five days. CBSE has to finish the exams of its remaining subjects before this.
On 01 April, CBSE announced that it would conduct the examination for only 29 important subjects out of the remaining 90 subjects. Only those exams of class 10 will be re-conducted which were canceled due to the communal violence spread in North East Delhi. For Class 12, papers of Professional Studies, Geography, Hindi (Core), Hindi (optional), Home Science, Sociology, Computer Science, Computer Science (New), Information Practice, Information Practice (New), Information Technology and Biotechnology Will be held.
CBSE is also working on restarting the evaluation of the copies, which was halted in March due to a nationwide lockdown. One of the options being considered is to deliver the answer script to the teachers' home. The results of the 12th board exams will be declared by the end of August, before the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) releases the merit list for JEE Advanced.
The JEE Advanced exam is to be held on 23 August. IITs usually take about two weeks to be declared All India Rank (AIR) for the exam. IIT Delhi is the organizer for the entrance exam this year, which is also working on shortening the evaluation period.
