The Rig Season 2 storyline:

Six episodes make up season one of The Rig. The first episode starts with the crew of the Kinloch Bravo oil rig getting ready to go home. But the cost is said to be late, and Baz is upset because Fulmer has taken his place on the list.

When a mysterious fog surrounds the oil rig and makes it impossible to see or talk to anyone, the crew is scared even more. After this, something bad happens, and Baz falls from a tower and hurts himself very badly.

Hutton starts a mutiny and tells everyone that the Bravo oil rig is heading to be shut down, but that the crew’s leader, Magnus, is keeping this secret.

But Magnus gets those under control, and then all of a sudden it starts to rain ash. When Baz gets up fully healed, the team is even more shocked. He starts to act strange. It turns out that a few primitive parasitic life forms were riding on the ash.

And something was going on at the bottom of the ocean floor, making it shake. As Rose tries to figure out what’s going on, the crew starts to go crazy. Rose finds out that an ancient life form has come back to life and that there may be a mass extinction going on.

As the fog lifts, the crew finds out that the nearby Kinloch Charlie has blown up. A few people in a lifeboat make it to the Bravo. Cloake is one of them. At first, everyone thinks that the parasite is out to kill them because of a suspicious man.

The first season of The Rig ended with a huge cliffhanger. The Kinlock Bravo oil rig crew and Coake (Mark Addy) were taken away in a helicopter to an unknown location.

They were able to get off the rig before a huge wave hit it, but it didn’t look good for the people on the mainland.

In the last scene, Cat’s wife Kacey felt an earthquake near the coast and then saw the tsunami from her window.

There are still a lot of questions about Season 2, like what occurred to Baz (Calvin Demba), if the Ancestor is real, and how the end of the world can be stopped in the future.

The crew of Kinloch Bravo will be in a “bold new location” and face “new dangers” in season 2, according to Prime Video.

The crew will have to deal with the emotional and physical effects of what happened in the first season, but they will also have to deal with “swirling conspiracies, conflicts, and perceived challenges from the dark depths of the world’s oceans that it has unleashed.”

In the new episodes, they will continue to talk the about planet’s long-term prospects and tie everything together in a big, exciting story.

The show’s writer and creator, David Macpherson, said, “It was always my goal to create an episode that begins in Scotland but talks to a worldwide audience about global themes.”

“In series 2, I’m excited about broadening our show’s world through the perspectives of our great cast. We’ll have more shocks and excitements and go deeper into our characters’ and our show’s growing original mythology.”

Rating:

Most people liked the first season of The Rig, and most critics liked it too. Critics and viewers have given The Rig good reviews. IMDb gives the show a 5.9 out of 10 and Rotten Tomatoes gives it a 69%.

Review:

People who can’t make anything better than this series say a lot of bad things about it. This series is similar to Vigil, but I like it a lot more. In this series, well-known actors like Owen Teale play roles that they have never done before.

Also, I know that anything with Martin Compston or Mark Bonnar in it will be entertaining, and they haven’t let me down yet. There are hints of Alien, The Thing, and other scary movies I can’t remember the names of, but it’s not nearly as scary.

After the excitement of Christmas and the rainy weather in Australia right now, this is a great solid mystery and thriller to enjoy.

How Many Episodes Will Season 2 of The Rig have?

There could be a second game of The Rig, but it’s still not clear what will happen to the show. If the show is picked up for a second season, there will probably be about as many episodes as there were in the first season.

But if the show is picked up by a different channel or streaming service, the amount of occurrences could be cut.
