"They told me I had a bad smile"

We hardly happened to see one Uma Thurman with a dazzling smile, the actress appears very often serious both in photos and on the various red carpets and it seems that this depends on some criticisms suffered during her youth.

In short, it seems that not even the Hollywood stars are able to overcome the comments of others unscathed and that indeed, like any other human being, they find themselves to be strongly conditioned by external judgments. Uma Thurman has repeatedly stated that she has never been able to show herself in public particularly smiling because someone would have pointed out that her smile would not have been particularly pleasant.

"I'm happy to get older. The more the years go by, the more I become aware of myself. When I was young I didn't accept myself and I was influenced by the comments of others. I felt terrible. When I was ten, someone told me I had a terrible smile. Since then I have never been able to show my teeth in public, to laugh out loud. I spent all my youth feeling embarrassed. "

Luckily things went pretty well for her but, even as an adult, she never managed to show off her best smile and, most of the time, she seemed rather frowning at the audience. The actress recently revealed that she didn't want her daughter Maya Hawke to become an actress and follow hers by now but as we now know, the young girl is making her way into the world of cinema and TV series. Speaking of Uma Thurman's daughter, check out her transformation into Mia from Pulp Fiction.
