West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBPSC) Has postponed the written examinations to be held till April 5, 2020. The physical examination for the posts of fire operator was scheduled to be held from 23 March. Apart from this, the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education on Sunday asked the teachers examining the question papers of the state board examinations of class 10 to defer the prescribed process of presenting numbers and answer scripts for further orders amid the outbreak of Corona. .
Board President Kalyanamay Ganguly told the teachers that submission of secondary examination numbers and answer sheets will not be done. The board further instructed to examine the answer sheets, and said that teachers should check the copies 2 times so that when the board is asked to submit them, the teachers can submit them immediately. The teachers were to hand over the papers after the assessment to the chief examiners concerned by early next week. This was to be followed by the head examiner checking the numbers.
The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) has deferred the Higher Secondary Higher Secondary, Class 11 examination. The Higher Secondary examinations to be held on 23, 25 and 27 March have been postponed. The dates for the examinations will be notified after 15 April. The government has directed the closure of all administrative offices, public institutions, pubs and restaurants by 31 March. So far, four coronovirus positive cases have occurred in the state. The Preliminary Examination will consist of only one paper on General Studies. The paper will be objective type consisting of 200 multiple choice questions. Each question will be for one mark and candidates have to solve it in two and a half hours.
