U.S. senators make progress toward voting on $2 trillion coronavirus bill

WASHINGTON (1) - A final-minute impediment to passage of a $2 trillion coronavirus financial stimulus bill within the U.S. Senate was within the strategy of being resolved and would seemingly clear the way in which for immediate approval of the measure, Senator Lindsey Graham mentioned on Wednesday.

Graham is one in all a handful of Republican senators who raised objections to an unemployment compensation provision within the bill. The Senate will vote on the Republicans’ modification to alter the availability — a vote that seemingly will fail, Graham mentioned, permitting a vote on passage of the laws as written.
