On June 22, 2023, the premiere of the initial season of the show aired.

Famous for his portrayal of Iron Man’s Tony Stark, Robert Downey Jr. allegedly shares a hobby with his superhero alter ego: repairing vintage automobiles. The new Max version of Downey’s Dream Cars is a perfect example of this.

Among the numerous episodes that will air this summer, this docuseries is worth keeping an eye out for since it can only be seen on Max (the streaming service previously known as HBO Max).

The Sympathizer, a planned limited series, also serves as the first in what seems to be more collaborations between Downey and Max.

Downey’s Dream Cars Season 2 Storyline:

The Iron Man star will play a prominent role as the show’s presenter. In addition to being a cast member, he is also an executive producer on the program with Susan Downey, his wife and business partner.

Max’s promotional materials for the film include a remark from Downey that describes the show’s motivation: “We are what we drive, so having accumulated a formidable number of old automobiles through the years, I was a petrol-spraying disaster.

And I’m a hypocrite since in 2019 I helped form the Footprint Coalition to expand the use of technology that slow global warming. Thankfully, I have a tendency to daydream.

In an effort to analyze, educate, elevate, & decarbonize these vehicles in a manner that exemplifies the boundless potential of an innovative solution, I have enlisted the greatest and brightest brains over the last three years.

It was a great ordeal and an educational trip. I owe the show’s entertainment value to Max and Warner Bros. Discovery, as well as my children, my wife and employer Susan, Team Downey, Boat Rocker’s Matador Content, as well as, course, myself and my brood.

Thank you for believing in what was, at times, a hazy vision that eventually reaffirmed the many ways in which we can work together to build a better future.

In this Max Original series, Downey shares his passion for classic cars while also discussing the need of protecting the environment. He employs skilled workers to repair his classic automobiles in a sustainable manner.

The video chronicles the efforts of Robert Downey Jr. & his crew to bring six classic cars from Robert’s own collection into the modern day by making them more environmentally friendly without sacrificing any of their power or flair.

Even though the rest of the team warned him against it, Downey went ahead and gave his collection of classic cars an electric upgrade nevertheless. The excellent performer is prepared for whatever is ahead.

Downey Jr.’s dedication to improving the world and his love of cars shine through in Downey’s Dream Cars. This documentary, premiering on Max, delves into the actor’s passion for repairing classic automobiles and transforming into hybrids for a greener future.

The program is a collaboration between Boat Rocker’s Matador Content & Team Downey, and it provides viewers a look inside Downey’s workshop and his creative approach to fixing problems.

Classic automobiles from the ’60s and ’70s are honored, as their appeal never seems to fade. Downey is so enamored with these cars that his passion almost radiates off of him.

Robert Downey Jr., who just retired from Marvel, has a new program called “Downey’s Dream Cars.” The story follow the millionaire as he tries to balance his love of antique cars with his commitment to reducing global warming.

During the 2019 launch of his climate-focused startup business Footprint Coalition, the Iron Man actor allegedly contrasted his aims with a colorful depiction of himself as a “one-man carbon dioxide nightmare colossus.”

More of this is seen in the pilot episode of “Downey’s Dream Cars.” The show follows Downey as he consults with industry professionals (including Rich Benoit of Electrified Garage) to convert his collection of historic automobiles to operate on cleaner fuel. However, the first episode introduces a stunt that appears at variance with the show’s focus on climate change by showing Downey walking into a U.S. Army chopper. Right from the off, Downey points up the confusion by remarking, “Wait, isn’t this a car show?”

My TechCrunch colleague Kirsten Korosec served as a contributing editor on this program, so you know it’s good. In my biased and uninformed perspective, it is the most interesting section.

It was because of this that I decided to attend a showing last week at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles. Thank goodness I performed, because Kirsten (who portrays herself in the musical) is a great human being, and I want to shame her as much as possible for doing so. The fact that I found the evening’s co-host, Dax Shepard, attractive was an unnerving yet instructive takeaway from the show for me.

Where To Watch Downey’s Dream Cars Season 2?

If the project goes into production, we can expect HBO Max to carry it as they did with the first season. Downey’s Dream Cars will be exclusive to Max, so you’ll need to sign up for that service to see it.

But there are other choices. Users of third-party services, such as YouTube, may add Max to their existing subscription and select between an ad-supported or an ad-free plan.
