Xiaomi 12S’ Successor Xiaomi 13 Is One in the Making

Every year, Xiaomi produces one or two Ultra models, typically a flagship under the prominent Xiaomi name and a “flagship killer” from Redmi. This year, however, the company produced only the Xiaomi 12S Ultra and rebranded the Redmi K50 Ultra as the Redmi K50 Extreme Edition.

This makes it likely that Xiaomi’s next “Ultra” model will be the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, a good one for accessing NHL odds or also youtube videos.

The Xiaomi 13 Pro, equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, is rumored to be available in November this year. A new leak revealed the screen type of the upcoming Xiaomi 13 smartphone.

A corporate representative stated on Twitter that Xiaomi’s Ultra smartphone of the next generation would be released in international markets. Even though it has not yet been officially unveiled, it is believed to be the Xiaomi 13 Ultra.

Lei Jun, CEO of Xiaomi, has informed customers throughout the globe that the next generation of Ultra smartphones will soon be accessible everywhere. It is unclear whether Lei Jun was referring to a potential phone that would follow the Xiaomi 12S Ultra or a variant of the same phone. The Xiaomi 13 series will likely be released before the end of the fourth quarter of 2022.

Supposedly, the Xiaomi 13 Pro has a 6.7-inch Samsung E6 display with 2K+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. There will likely be a cut-out in the middle of the screen for the selfie camera. The Xiaomi 13 series should come preloaded with Android 13 and have small bezels.

The Chinese phone manufacturer released the Xiaomi 12S Ultra in July, but only in China. Recent reports indicate that the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro would utilize an SM8550 chipset, which could be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC.

Xiaomi 12 Took the Market by Storm

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 CPU is compatible with up to 12GB of RAM, 512GB of storage, and an Adreno graphics processing unit.

Regarding optics, the Xiaomi 12S Ultra features a Leica-made triple camera system. The first Xiaomi phone to employ Sony’s IMX 989 1-inch sensor. The phone’s primary camera is a Sony 50.3- MP with a 1-inch sensor. There is also a 48MP telephoto sensor and a 48MP ultrawide sensor on the phone. It boasts a 32-megapixel front camera for photos and video calls.

Numerous connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port.

The Upgrade

There are reports that the IC (integrated circuit) in Xiaomi’s upcoming phones will be one that they designed themselves. This would allow a single battery cell to sustain 100W of connected fast charging. According to reports, the Xiaomi 13 series has a superior Surge P1 chip for improved power management.

According to the insider, the phone would feature a 6.7-inch Samsung E6 display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 2K+ resolution. The Xiaomi smartphone will likely include a display with a cutout and a micro-curved frame on both sides.

In recent weeks, rumors and leaks about the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro have generated buzz. You may be able to purchase the Xiaomi 13 series in November. It reportedly uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. People believe they possess a BYD ceramic back cover.

It is anticipated that the Xiaomi 13 series will have narrow bezels. People assert that Xiaomi smartphones include LTPO displays with 2K resolution and eye protection dimming technology.

A Xiaomi 13 Ultra for the international market would not be out of the ordinary, given that the company released the Mi 11 Ultra outside in 2017. Even though the 12S Ultra will never leave China, rumor has it that Xiaomi planned to release the Xiaomi 12 Ultra before changing their minds.

The Xiaomi 13 Ultra will likely return to these designs and hopefully could be in the global market soon.
