While unveiling the release date of the new Justice League trailer, the director Zack Snyder took advantage of the catwalk of the Super Bowl to plead a cause he particularly cares about, that of associations for suicide prevention.
Snyder in fact celebrated the Super Bowl LV by throwing a line of commemorative footballs branded for the director's cut of Justice League, balls that the director has put up for sale to raise additional funds for charity.
"To celebrate the release of the Snyder Cut, Zack Snyder has put these commemorative balls up for sale!"reads the description of the campaign published by Ink to the People. Each balloon personalized Justice League it is black in color and features white laces (image below), as well as the silver "JL" logo. To the left of the logo are the words "The Cut" and "Snyder" written below. To the right of the logo is Snyder's signature above the word "Director". The commemorative balloons retail for $ 25 dollars each, with all proceeds that will be donated to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP).
The reason for this charity campaign led by Snyder could not be more tragic: fans will remember, in fact, that the director lost his 20-year-old daughter Autumn to suicide in March 2017, when Snyder was in the middle of filming. Justice League. He left the cinecomic just to retire with his family during that period of mourning, and in the following years the Release The Snyder Cut movement became inextricably linked to his daughter's name and to AFSP itself, with donations of thousands upon thousands of dollars arriving from all over the world.
