After the official poster and the new image from the set, finally Army of the Dead is shown with a first, bloody trailer ahead of the release on Netflix set for next May.
The work represents the ninth film by Zack Snyder, the second later this year Justice League, which instead will be released on March 18 on all digital platforms for rental and purchase. It is also the director's return to the world of zombies, seventeen years after the remake of The dawn of the Living Dead, his debut feature film. And it promises sparks, as Netflix's horror will in fact be off-limits to minors due to a heinous use of violence, bad language and even explicit nudity.
The story of Army of the Dead will begin after the destruction of Las Vegas due to an epidemic of zombies, zombies that now populate a ghost town abandoned to itself and separated from the rest of the world by a large wall: in this context, a group of mercenaries accepts the insane mission to venture into the quarantine zone to land the biggest heist ever attempted.
Dave Bautista will be part of this group of mercenaries, Ella Purnell, Omari Hardwick, Ana De La Reguera, Theo Rossi, Matthias Schweighöfer, Nora Arnezeder, Hiroyuki Sanada, Garret Dillahunt, Tig Notaro, Raúl Castillo, Huma Qureshi, Samantha Win, Richard Cetrone and Michael Cassidy.
Before saying goodbye and finally leaving you to the trailer, we remind you that Army of the Dead it has already become a franchise: Netflix completed filming a prequel feature film a few weeks ago, alongside work on an animated prequel TV series.
