After talking about the possibility of a post-credit scene for Justice League, the director Zack Snyder is back on the social network Vero to show a new unedited image of the awaited Snyder Cut.
The photo, which you can see at the bottom of the article, reveals a violent encounter between Steppenwolf and an Atlantean: The film is expected within a couple of months, the still-secret release date has been indicated for the month of March on the streaming platform HBO Max, but these days the promotional campaign is starting to close ranks and fans are expecting soon a new trailer and an official poster after confirmation that the project will not be a miniseries.
The scene shown by Snyder in the editing booth should be part of one of many that Warner Bros. cut from the original edit, passed as known in the hands of Joss Whedon: one of the reasons that prompted the major to change course was precisely the dark tone that Snyder had given to his film, obviously following the line of works such as Watchmen, Man of Steel e Batman v Superman, and now that the director has been able to regain total creative control over his film, he has apparently decided to reintegrate those atmospheres.
In the caption, Snyder also anticipates the JunkieXL soundtrack, who was replaced by Danny Elfman when the director left the original project. That 'insane sound' would seem an obvious reference to the track composed by the musician for the particular scene with Steppenwolf.
