A Whisker Away Season 2 Storyline:

Let’s first take a look at the first release, A Whisker Away, before we begin our discussion about A Whisker Away Season 2. Its name comes from the Japanese phrase “Wanting to Cry, I Want to Be a Cat,” which is how A Whisker Away is recognized. Junichi Sato and Tomotaka Shibayama both served as the film’s directors.

While Mari Okada is the author of A Whisker Away. Studio Colorido, Toho Animation, & Twin Engine were among the organizations who worked in the development of the great movie A Whisker Away. On June 18, 2020, the movie had its formal release on the Netflix network.

Miyo Sasaki was no different from every other middle school girl, yet she was unique in that she was dissatisfied with her circumstances. She was a native of the Tokoname region’s town.

Since her stepmother Kaoru remarried, Miyo Sasaki doesn’t like spending any time with her. Mother of Miyo Sasaki (Miki Sasaki) has abandoned her and moved in with her father. She kept everything at home, where a lot was happening, to herself.

She continued on by herself. She use to go to school every day and spend her time trying to win over her longtime crush, Kento Hinode. She persisted in making daily attempts to win his approval despite the several times he turned her down and shown his lack of interest in her.

She used to feel depressed alone every day. That said, one day she encountered a shady, enigmatic cat that sells masks and can communicate.

She will be able to shift into a cat anytime she wants while wearing the mask since she entered into a contract by exchanging her human form.

After having her request to transform into a cat at any time fulfilled, she moved about until settling down with Hinode, her crush. Her given name was Taro.

To keep Hinode company, she began to visit him often, and over time, she gradually learned more about her infatuation. Miyo, meantime, overheard several lads criticizing her infatuation one day when she was at school. She intervened to safeguard his reputation there.

After this encounter, I could tell that eating his lunch with her was the initial time he had thought of her. Hinode’s goals and the difficulties he was experiencing alone were both revealed to Miyo and Taro.

She also found out that their pottery store was shutting since business was bad. Miyo thinks she has to declare her affections to Hinode by sending him a love letter that includes all of her sentiments after spending so much time with him. However, her plans did not pan out as she had hoped. Instead, there was a ruckus that led to her & Hinode being teased alongside.

Hinode realized the situation and confessed to everyone how much she hated her, which rescued both of them. Miyo felt more wounded than ever after hearing those comments. Later that day, Miyo expressed a desire to permanently transform into a cat and reside with Hinode.

Her human disguise with her face broke off in the shape of a glass mask as she made the decision to live as a cat forever. The mask vendor arrived as soon as it occurred to take the human mask.

Everyone who loved Miyo soon began looking for her, but they were unsuccessful. As Taro came to understand, Miyo is gradually losing all of her human skills and has become to resemble a cat. Even Hinode once admitted to Taro that he never looked at Miyo with hatred in his eyes.

As Taro, Miyo sought out the mask vendor in order to obtain her human body back but soon discovered that her human face mask had been handed to Kinako, her stepmother Kaoru’s cat.

As her time as a cat was coming to an end, Kinako wanted to change into a human so she could continue to live with Kaoru. Kinako resisted returning Miyo’s face mask.

Kinako understood why Kaoru had been worried so much about her stepdaughter since she loved her like her own kid. As soon as she realized this, Kinako set out to locate Hinode so she could rescue him from the enchanted cat island known as the promised place.

Everything turned out OK in the end. Hinode and Miyo returned. By giving her mask back, Kinako went back to being a cat. Both Miyo and Hinode moved on and accomplished their goals. Lastly, how to extricate yourself from your melancholy.
