Following in the footsteps of Big Brother Canada 9, CBS adopted a fresh diversity pledge on November 9, 2020. This means that starting with Big Brother 23, at least half of the casts of all of their reality shows will have to be black, indigenous, or people of color. [3]

On January 22, 2021, Robyn Kass, who had been the head casting agent for every main American and Canadian season of Big Brother since Big Brother 2 (US),

declared that she would be resigning and taking a break from casting for Big Brother 23 to focus on other things, like finishing the cast of Big Brother Canada 9, which had just attained the semifinal stage of casting a few weeks before.

One week later, on February 1, 2021, it was declared that Jesse Tannenbaum, a former Big Brother casting producer and casting director for Big Brother:

Over the Top and Survivor, would be in charge of casting for Big Brother 23, along with many returning casting producers who used to work for Kassting, Inc.

Big Brother Season 24 Storyline:

For a chance to win $500,000, contenders must fight against each other in a house set up with microphones and cameras that will record everything they do and show it on TV and the internet.

At the start of the episode, each houseguest is assigned a ticket, and this will eventually put them into different groups.

Then, each group plays a mini-game with itself to decide who will start competing for a possibility to be the first HOH of season 24.

Monte, Turner, and Daniel are the three winners from their groups. Daniel is named HOH for the week after the 3 of them race to placed something together drum kit puzzle.

Now, being Head of Household (HOH) gives a player a lot of power in the house, but it seems that the “Backstage Boss” ticket, which Pooch pulled when he entered the house, does the same thing.

Not only did he get to skip the day’s challenges, but he also doesn’t have to vote at the eviction ritual and can’t be put up for eviction.

Julie tells him that this incredible “Backstage Boss” ticket comes with a catch: he has to choose three competitors to go backstage with him.

Even though these players can’t even play in the contests or vote in the expulsion ceremony, they might nevertheless be sent back to the house next Thursday. How about that for a curve ball?

Backstage, Pooch follows him with Paloma, Alyssa, and Brittany. Julie tells America that when the time comes, they can cast a ballot for one of the women. This is good news for the women.

With Daniel as the first HOH and Pooch, Alyssa, Paloma, and Brittany in an interesting situation after the “Backstage Boss” plot twist, the players start planning what strategies and alliances they can use to get to the end.

For example, Michael, an attorney, and Brittany, a hypnotherapist, choose to lie regarding their occupations for a living so that they look like a lesser danger in the competition.

As the two oldest people in the house, Terrance and Nicole start to get close. However, Nicole later makes a real “Rogue Rats” alliance with Daniel.

After talking to each other for a while, Alyssa and Paloma make their own last two groups.

Paloma also gets the majority of the women to work together to make a plan. Taylor, on the other hand, would rather hold out with other guys than with other women.

Paloma puts a target on Taylor’s back when she decides to hang out with the guys. She starts a marketing strategy to get Taylor kicked out of the house. She even makes Daniel take a gander at Taylor as a possible person to be voted out.

But in the end, Daniel picks Terrance and Michael to leave the show. Now that the nominees have been chosen, we expect a lot of dirty tricks to happen before next Thursday.

By the way, you can read about just how fans already are making Paloma the villain of the season.

Big Brother: Season 24 Ratings and Reviews:

Rating:

Ratings are how everyone judges a show. Most of the time, the ratings are the best way to tell if a show will stay on the air.

The greater the ratings, the more likely it is that you will live. The show has a positive score of 5.4/10 on IMDb and an average audience rating of 29% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Reviews:

I’ll admit that I like the series. I started watching BB because I like The Challenge as well as because certain players began their careers on the show.

So I revisited a pair of the older, better-rated seasons, and I liked how they added twists along the way to make the game more interesting. Then I moved on to the ones that were more recent and had Challenge players.
