Campione Season 2 Storyline:

Godou Kusanagi is summoned by his grandpa to deliver a tablet of stone to Lucrezia Zora, a friend of his from Sardinia. Verethragna, the god of battle, appears to him when he meets the demonically manipulating swordswoman Erica Blandelli.

Godou becomes a campione, that is, a god slayer, once he kills the deity. When heretical gods start making changes that benefit themselves, often at the cost of the local population, it is his job to confront them.

Constant attention and troublesome females are a part of being a Campione, which isn’t always a good thing. In particular, Erica, who constantly declares her affection for him, causes him to be in uncomfortable and misinterpreted circumstances. He kisses each of the females he brought with him every time he battles a deity.

Godou Kusanagi, a god slayer and ex-basketball player, is the protagonist. In the pilot, he faced obstacles and had an unexpected relationship, one of which was with Erica Blandelli. More celestial showdowns and, maybe, in-depth character interactions will be revealed in Season 2.

A small cast of voices, both Japanese and English, bring these characters to life in the animation. Fans love the protagonist Godou Kusanagi voiced by Blake Shepard (English) and Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (Japanese). Additional important characters are:

Religion doesn’t seek out 16-year-old Kasunagi Godou as it does for many others. He becomes a “Campione!” or God Slayer after some miraculous victory against the God of War in combat.

His duty is to oppose any deity who would jeopardize the well-being of his people by attempting to alter their environment. Protecting those around him against the evil plans of other gods, he is essentially a deity in his own right.

Without a doubt, he will ensure himself a safe position in paradise later on if he does this task effectively. However, it is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to his task, and he will face other challenges on his eternal quest.

One major issue is that he has suddenly gained a large number of female followers who see himself as a divinely empowered person whom they are obligated to revere.

Erica Blandelli, a demonically manipulating swordswoman, is one of their followers. It seems like she has grown a deep crush on him, and she isn’t shy about showing it.

Because of her “devilish interests,” this causes a lot of uncomfortable circumstances between them. The protagonist of “Campione!” is a regular youngster who finds himself swept up in a supernatural realm full of harems, gods, and enchanted objects.

The program also features Yuri Mariya, a female character who is a Hime-Miko. Many of her classmates think she’s stunning despite her shyness; she has a lovely, innocent disposition and is elegant.

It is difficult to discern if her outbursts of anger are genuine or an attempt at politeness, even when she is really agitated or furious. She has strong moral principles that she follows to the letter and avoids confrontations with others whenever possible.

She is able to maintain an optimistic outlook even in the face of overwhelming tragedy because of her remarkable emotional regulation skills.
