Castaway Diva Season 2 Storyline:
Castaway Diva centers on Mok Ha, a young woman with musical aspirations. She vanishes while in seventh grade and spends the next fifteen years alone on an isolated island, where she learns to thrive under harsh conditions.
Even after being rescued, Mok Ha must overcome a major obstacle: adjusting to contemporary culture. Her love of music has survived despite her troubled life.
With encouragement, she begins recording her songs, capturing the world with a voice honed by isolation. Mok Ha’s incredible journey serves as an example of the transformative potential of pursuing one’s passions. The play is billed as an inspirational story about perseverance and the power of music to connect people from all walks of life.
Beginning in the Kang household, episode 2 of Castaway Diva finds Kang Bo-geol & Kang Woo-hak awake and bickering over who gets which bedroom. Woo-hak isn’t prepared for the split, while Bo-geol wants to escape his clinging sibling by moving into the newly available room on the roof.
When Woo-hak finds out that Bo-geol wants to spend the day volunteering, he changes his own plans and tags along. Bo-geol protests, but Woo-hak insists on going with him to an abandoned island, where the volunteers will clean up as he flies a drone over the area.
Mok-ha, meantime, has no idea that the volunteers are around and is startled by the arrival of the drone. She’s intrigued by the gadget in her line of sight and sets out to catch up with it.
When Woo-hak attempts to return his drone to her, he is also taken aback by her reaction, and the gadget falls to the ground, whereupon Mok-ha takes it up to inspect it.
After this, Woo-hak becomes angry and rushes to the spot where his drone fell, with Bo-geol close after to investigate. After being alone for 15 years, Mok-ha is taken aback to find Woo-hak standing before her. Initially taken aback by her odd conduct and unexpected embrace, Woo-hak eventually learns her backstory and is astonished by it.
Woo-hak captures Mok-ha as she reflects on the world’s transformation over the past 15 years on the flight home. When Bo-geol watches him shoot her, he begs him to stop reporting on the incident, but he eventually learns about Mok-ha’s ordeal via the news station where he and his brother both work.
Woo-hak subsequently tells Bo-geol that he had to cover up the drone incident since his superiors questioned him about it. Bo-geol seems indifferent to the past events, but his carefree demeanor has depressed Woo-hak.
